A major movie hires professional actors for all the speaking and acting roles but almost always needs more people as background. These extras are not paid much but they get the thrill of participating and the chance of seeing themselves on the big screen.
Wild hogs had open calls at each of the major shooting locations including Madrid. People brought head shots, filled out applications, spoke to production people and generally hoped to be seleted.
